ARAS was established in 1971 by CORAL BROWNE with the sole aim of caring for and rehoming needy dogs.
ARAS is funded by donations and the proceeds of dog training classes which are run by our Chief Dog Trainer CORAL BROWNE (Beginners & Advanced Obedience Training classes are held 3 times a week - click here for details). The dogs that come to us are mainly German Shepherds, but all needy dogs are taken in and given care and attention until they can be adopted.
Although ARAS is not a registered charity, we are registered with the Kennel Club as German Shepherd Inn and general breed rescue.
ARAS rescue always has German Shepherds of varying ages requiring new homes.
Here are a few pictures of our kennels where the dogs are kept.

Each dog has its own kennel complete with a large bed inside and a concrete run outside. Dogs are sometimes kept in pairs to keep each other company. The kennels also have large paddocks where the dogs can run around, stretch their legs, play with toys and enjoy themselves. The dogs all love their turn out in the paddocks
